He boasts 13 years of GI surgery experience from India and the UK. He has recently relocated to India from the United Kingdom, where he served as a Consultant Surgeon at St. James’s University Hospital, Leeds. This prestigious institution is the largest teaching hospital in Europe.​
He excels in gastrointestinal, colorectal, laparoscopic, and emergency general surgery.​ He is an avid teacher and has earned recognition for his contribution to surgical education. He is on the editorial board of two international journals.
He attained the prestigious membership of the International Postgraduate Deanery of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in May 2019, following a two-year fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery at Leicester, U.K.​
He was conferred the F.R.C.S. degree by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in May 2020, after acing the intercollegiate examinations.
His remarkable contribution to surgical training and education earned him the membership of the Faculty of Surgical Trainers of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in November 2021.​
Before relocating to the U.K. in 2017, he completed his fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery (Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery) at Narayana Hrudayalaya, Bangalore.
In May 2013, he joined M. S. Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore, as Assistant Professor of Surgery. He was a university gold medalist during his M.S. degree at Pondicherry. He has authored several research publications and delivered international presentations.
